PALLAS will make radioactive medical isotopes for use by hospital nuclear medical departments for the diagnosis and treatment of a number of serious diseases. Medical isotopes are used in hospitals all over the world at a rate in excess of 30 million times per year. The nuclear medical applications can be subdivided into diagnosis, patient treatment and pain relief.
